Reiterating his claim that "New Jersey has lost its damn mind," Mayor Mike Inganamort on Monday slammed the West Morris Regional High School District for allowing pornographic material to be required reading in a senior English class. At Monday's Board of Education meeting, Inganamort spoke on behalf of parents outraged that visual depictions of oral sex are part of the curriculum. From the Observer-Tribune: "We have truly jumped the shark if we can shoe-horn this salacious material into a curriculum because an administrator argues it has some shred of educational value," said Inganamort. "Frankly, the images are disqualifying. They are over the top. They are clearly inappropriate for our children. And they violate the boundaries our children and our families have set for themselves."
